Richard Bellamy provides independent professional advice for all aspects of traditional rural business in the 21st Century tailored for the individual requirements. The services are also available for day-to-day management or working in conjunction with other professionals to supplement their range of expertise.
Involved in rural business for over 30 years after qualifying at The Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, in Rural Estate Management and Advanced Farm Management. Experience gained in land agency in the Pennines was followed by research work on no-tillage cropping in the Northern Territory, Australia. In the UK several years working as resident manager and forester for private landed estates in the Home Counties and West Country involving a wide variety of management projects, including restoration of historic landscapes, forestry and farm management, public access and European Grant Schemes, provides for an independent practical approach to advice and solutions.
Richard is a general rural land manager with broad, practical experience of managing historic houses and country estates, farms and woodlands. As an independent adviser all aspects are tailored to the individual requirements.
Particular knowledge of budgetary control improving financial returns for estates & farms with good management practice; residential lettings; management of historic property, including public access, organising building restoration and maintenance, estate insurances, diversification projects and management of film location opportunities
Specialist in woodland management and amenity landscapes, including support for proposed planning applications, tree hazard assessments, rights of way and boundary disputes and preparing reports for all aspects of management
Notable for personnel management he has led and been a core member of estate and professional teams with a good understanding of the requirements of management in his field of expertise.
He has presented to seminars and contributed to national & regional forums on both economic and actual practice in various aspects of the rural industry, including all aspects of Cross-Compliance.
